Gory Greek Gods: Cloud Mix

To create the cloud backgrounds for the scenes on Mt. Olympus we started with a mix of real and Maya generated clouds. We then used image operations and the paint synthesizer to add richness and complexity to the relatively antiseptic cgi footage. Color was enhanced, forms simplified and a soft, sculpted quality invoked.
